February Book Club: Un día de estos
It’s been awhile since I last made a book recommendation. This month I’m recommending an author, not a specific book, and that author is Gabriel García Márquez. Hopefully, you’ve already heard of him since he’s a Nobel-prize winning author. Perhaps you’ve read his obra maestra “Cien años de soledad.” But if you don’t know “Gabo” and are unfamiliar with his writing, I highly recommend his short stories.
One of my favorites is “Un día de estos,” which you can listen to and read here on this blog. It’s a story about a dentist, his patient and some very unpleasant history that binds them together. Find more García Márquez short stories in Doce cuentos peregrinos (Spanish Edition

Thank you. The narrator had a beautiful, clear voice and slow cadence which enabled me to enjoy the story and familiarize myself with the pronunciation. Looking forward to listening again after I look up a few words!
