No, unfortunately I wasn’t able to visit Barcelona to meet with Mercedes. Hopefully, one day soon, because I’d love to meet her in person. She’s super maja.

When I approached her about doing an interview last month, we initially talked about doing it via Skype. But I’ve been experiencing some exasperating connectivity issues with my Internet service with Skype calls cutting off or getting dropped in mid-sentence. So we decided it would be much easier and efficient for the both of us to just record our parts separately to avoid the technical difficulties.

We emailed back and forth regarding what we were going to talk about, but as you can see, Mercedes did the heavy lifting in terms of the level of detail of her responses. She emailed me her audio and then I put the pieces of our Q&A together on my trusty Mac. Mercedes and Jose Luis use high-quality recording equipment so the final interview came out fenomenal. In fact, I covet her microphone because the quality is fantastic.
