Cine Prado by Elena Poniatowska
For this week’s podcast I’ve assembled my own little Pan-American summit. The podcast is a short story by Mexican author Elena Poniatowska, read by Carlos from Uruguay. Introducing the story is Luis Rojas, from Peru. He’s a Spanish teacher and podcaster/videographer extraordinaire based in St. Paul, Minnesota. If you’re not already familiar with his podcast and web site, go check it out. It’s packed with videos and there is also a growing online community that Luis and his wife Joan are building together. Luis and I are also talking about doing a joint podcast later this fall, but we’re waiting to see who wins the U.S. presidential election first since the topic we have in mind hinges on who the next POTUS (President of the United States) is. Stay tuned….

What a wonderful surprise to hear Luis Rojas speak at the
beginning of your podcast. He has a wonderful speaking voice and is
very easy to understand. In fact I have listened to his language
learning program that he is making with his wife and I can say that it
is great. I learned a lot from him and recommend his technique to
everyone, especially those who like to learn about people, culture,
poetry, music and other intricacies of latin countries while at the
same time learning the language.
Hello, I was surprised too when I heard the voice of Luis Rojas. I totally agree with you PattyD, for his voice is really clear and attract any learner of the laguage to listen to him.
I think that it would be a great idea to join podcasts of voices en espanol with those of rojasspanish.
Thank you for this initiative.
