ECUAPOP: A documentary about immigrants in Spain

Guest blogger Clarisa Muñoz has written a piece today telling us about a documentary film she produced focusing on Ecuadorians living in Spain. It’s called “Ecuapop: los de aquí, los de allí” and the film tells the story of Christian, a teenager, who is reunited with his family in Spain and is trying to fit in to his new life in a new country. Immigration is a hot button issue in Spain and the Ecuadorian population is one of the largest immigrant groups in the country.  Here’s the trailer:

The documentary’s soundtrack is original music by Puño en Boka, a hip-hop group from Valencia, Spain. You can find the lyrics on this blog’s podcast section.
