Spanish pronunciation 101: English consonants

The first step to improving your Spanish pronunciation is to isolate and eliminate the sounds from your native language (in my case, English) that don’t exist in Spanish.

In this podcast Martín Ventola talks at length about some of these sounds from English that interfere in pronouncing Spanish correctly. You can get more details here.

Thanks, Marilyn! There are several more episodes coming, including ones on pronouncing Spanish vowels correctly, trilling the rr and some verbal exercises to get the tongue and teeth and jaw all working together and in the right order. Martín and I recently did one marathon recording session and I’m actually swamped in audio right now but hope to get another pronunciation podcast edited in the next week or so. Stay tuned!!
