Week in Review - Bilingual kids, Woody Allen and Penélope Cruz

Well, last week was a busy one. I spent the entire week blogging and podcasting about raising bilingual children. So, what else was going on in the outside world? Woody Allen gave the finger to Barcelona, figuratively speaking. The nebbish director reportedly said he will not shoot his next two movies in Spain, even though he had previously promised to, due to some unspecified “stingy measures” he faced while shooting Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Woody got some flack in the Spanish media earlier this year when it became public that Barcelona was giving him a subsidy for filming there. As if Woody needed subsidies. PeVogueAlso from the world of Spanish cinema, Penélope Cruz made the cover of Vogue in a photo shoot by Annie Leibovitz that is both clichéd and striking at the same time, or should I say strikingly clichéd? But I guess since Pe is starring in “Manolete,” a bull fighter movie with Adrien Brody, it’s ok.

What’s going to happen this week in Voices en Español? The first part of a two-part interview with Neil Hohmann, producer of Ritmo Latino, a latino music podcast. Stay tuned! :)
